About me

In my nine months as a journalist, I've been a crime and safety reporter. I started this job to try to help people. I think I've helped few with some of my articles. This summer I became the news editor at The Shorthorn. I am trying the same approach with this position, trying to instil my reporters with the same values.

My original intent with this blog was to flood it with crime stories. The main reason I started pursuing journalism was to learn the basics of writings because I wanted to tell stories. Write screen plays, novels or movies about topics that interested me.

As I have progressed in this journalism program, my horizon of topics that interest me has expanded. I care more about others and the stories they have to tell, rather than just my own.

As I begin this blog, I will delve into science fiction. A group of friends and I play a Star Wars themed role-playing game.  We've chosen our race, class and skills ,and created our individual back stories to assume the role of a crew stealing a lavish jewel. As the game progresses, I will update this blog and its readers on the success or failure of the heist  and the future campaigns we will embark on.
